This month, we are celebrating Star Brown, honored as the newest Agent of the Month for her perseverance, compassion, and focus on doing what matters most for families.
Finding a Calling in Service
Star’s journey into insurance began early, when she helped an elderly family member navigate paperwork. That experience lit a spark. In her early 20s, she joined one of the nation’s largest insurance organizations and immersed herself in statewide Medicare programs.
What kept her engaged was not salary or benefits. It was the realization that people rely on knowledgeable, ethical support for life and medical decisions, and that high standards can change outcomes.
A Detour, a Return, and a Decision to Lead With Heart
Curiosity led Star to try something entirely different: operating trains. She excelled, but the work did not match her passion for helping people. So, she studied, regained her insurance license, and explored door-to-door sales while waiting for the right fit.
In 2011, she discovered Liveops!
Working from a home office with control over her schedule gave her both time and income freedom. When her father suffered a stroke, she stepped away to provide full-time care.
Years later, with strength and perspective shaped by family, she returned to Liveops ready to serve again.
Why Liveops and the Program She Supports
Star describes Liveops as a foundation built on commitment, trust, and support that shows up in certification, resources, the agent community, ARAs, and the quality of programs. Today, she provides services for a leading national insurance provider that aligns with her values.
Not long before she began certifying for this program, Star experienced the loss of both parents within three days of each other. One had life insurance. One did not.
She understands how quickly families can face difficult financial choices. Guiding someone toward protection is, for her, a way to spare others from the path she had to walk.
Purpose in Action
From her home office, Star speaks with people every day about safeguarding their families and building stability across generations.
She values clear education, patient listening, and follow through. Her goal is simple and ambitious at the same time: uphold service excellence with Liveops and the program she supports by helping one family at a time.
